Are you ready to drive commercial growth in a dynamic, high-performance environment?

We are looking for a highly analytical and strategic thinker to join OTC Flow as a Commercial Strategy Analyst Intern (6 months) in our Singapore office. In this role, you will support our growth by identifying market opportunities, developing actionable go-to-market strategies, and empowering our Sales Traders with data-driven insights.

This position requires strong analytical skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to translate complex market dynamics into clear, actionable business cases. You will not be selling directly but will support strategic initiatives and contribute to commercial decision-making.

About the Role
We’re looking for an exceptional Strategy Analyst Intern; someone who thrives on overperformance and stands out for their confidence, sharp intellect, and commercial mindset.

With a strong academic background or exposure to Private Equity, Venture Capital, Investment Banking, or similar analytical environments, you demonstrate strong potential in identifying and developing high-potential trading and brokering opportunities in renewable energy and environmental commodities markets. Your strategic thinking and market curiosity will support our Sales Trading team’s P&L growth.

This role requires quick thinking, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with different stakeholders. You’re not just intelligent; you’re commercially aware, articulate, and able to translate strategies into clear, actionable insights that support the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Seize new market opportunities: You will support the creation of new market opportunities in renewable energy, carbon credits, and environmental commodities, aligning with OTC Flow’s strategy to drive growth.

  • Empower Sales Traders’ success: Work closely with sales traders and brokers to identify and execute profitable trading opportunities with speed and precision.

  • Strategic support: Analyze market trends, ask the right questions, and develop actionable insights that contribute to our trading strategies.

  • Market expertise: Stay up to date with new developments, regulations, and market dynamics to support origination efforts.

  • Build business cases: Create robust business cases for entering new markets or launching new products.

  • Contribute to results: Support P&L growth by identifying and contributing to high-value opportunities.

  • Leverage your analytical skills: Apply your analytical and financial skills to assess risks, support forecasting, and evaluate opportunities.

Requirements

  • Proven track record: With a strong academic background or initial experience in Private Equity, Venture Capital, Investment Banking, or similar fields, you have exposure to market analysis or deal-related activities. You show strong potential, a proactive mindset, and a drive to deliver high-quality results.
  • Ambition for success: A sharp, ambitious drive to succeed in the environmental commodities and renewable energy markets, with the flexibility to adapt in this evolving space.
  • Exceptional academic credentials: You are currently pursuing or have recently completed a degree in Business, Finance, or a related field, with strong academic performance.
  • Commercial instinct: A strong interest in identifying and capitalizing on business opportunities, with a focus on growth and value creation.
  • Drive for excellence: You thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment, working closely with Sales Traders.
  • Strategic thinking: Ability to analyze market trends and contribute to business cases for new market opportunities.
  • Outgoing and proactive: Comfortable interacting with different stakeholders and building relationships across teams.
  • Language proficiency: Excellent communication skills in English (both verbal and written) are essential; additional language skills such as Mandarin, Indonesian, Malay, Japanese, or Korean are a strong advantage.
  • Eligibility: Singaporean nationality is required.

What We Offer

  • Growth & Development: A meritocratic environment where you can learn, develop your skills, and gain exposure to a fast-paced trading environment.
