Qube Research & Technologies (QRT)

QRT is, by its own internal joke, an utterly French quant fund that happens to be incorporated in Britain. It grew out of Credit Suisse's quantitative and systematic asset-management unit, where Pierre-Yves Morlat's Paris-based team ran systematic arbitrage, before becoming independent through a management buyout in early 2018.

Morlat, now CEO, and CIO Laurent Laizet both came up through the French grandes ecoles and started at Societe Generale. That heritage still shapes the firm: Paris is among its largest offices and a hub for research, trading, and technology, even as the headquarters sits in London.
