DV Trading
DV Trading runs its own capital out of Chicago. Founded in Toronto in 2006, it spent nearly a decade as Rosenthal Collins Capital Markets, the trading arm of a Chicago futures broker, until founders Dino Verbrugge and Jared Vegosen bought it out in 2016 and renamed it after Verbrugge's initials. Its FIA Principal Traders Group membership confirms it trades only its own account.
DV makes markets across futures, options, fixed income, equities, FX and crypto, pricing risk with both quantitative models and discretionary judgment. The distinctive part is the physical book: through its DV Energy division it trades crude oil, refined products and natural gas, not just the contracts on them. It sits inside DV Group, a roughly 600-person platform that also holds two SEC-registered broker-dealers, a Toronto brokerage, and the retail crypto venue Newton.
