Tips, scoring & FAQ

Why is this practice test multiple choice when the real DRW assessment is not?
DRW's real round-1 assessment uses free-entry numeric answers. This is a practice mock of the same format and difficulty, not a copy of the real test. We use 4-option multiple choice (A to D) purely so it can be graded instantly and you get a worked solution for every question. Treat the options as a check on your own working.
How is the test scored?
Six questions, one point each, no negative marking: +1 for a correct answer and 0 for an incorrect or blank one. Your score is out of 6, and every attempt is saved so you can track your scores over time.
Can I move between questions and change my answers?
Yes. You see one question at a time but can navigate to any of the six, leave questions unanswered, and change a selection at any point before submitting. Nothing is locked in until you submit (or the 45-minute timer runs out).
What happens if I refresh or leave mid-test?
The timer is anchored to when you started, on the server, so if you refresh, the same questions come back with the clock where it left off and your selections restored. An attempt left unfinished simply expires once its 45 minutes are up, and is then graded on whatever you had answered.
What topics are covered?
Conditional probability and Bayes, distributions (binomial, geometric), expected value and Markov chains, sequential games, combinatorics and lattice paths, and self-referential logic puzzles, the mix DRW-style assessments are known for.
