Uranus Research imported Wall Street market-microstructure expertise into Chengdu. In 2021 Dr. Bo Sun joined as CEO and CIO: a Columbia PhD, a founding partner and former Asia-Pacific president of Virtu Financial, one of the most prominent high-frequency firms in the world. His arrival rebuilt the firm's research platform and trading systems around that pedigree.

The firm itself has run since registering with AMAC in 2015, deploying fully automated strategies for Chinese A-share equity alpha across market-neutral, index-enhanced, and stock-selection products. Its research bench leans heavily on PhDs from computer-science and quantitative backgrounds. Beyond the Chengdu headquarters it keeps a Shanghai office and works with institutional partners across the securities, trust, futures, and banking sectors.
