TRV Trading Ltd

TRV Trading carries its origin in its name. The three letters come from the founder's floor-trader badge on a Singapore exchange in the early 1990s. The firm that grew out of that open-outcry pit now runs from suburban Auckland, making it one of the very few proprietary trading groups anywhere headquartered in New Zealand.

Though incorporated in 2014, the lineage runs back two decades earlier. TRV builds all its trading systems in house, with a strong bent toward market microstructure, backtesting, and exchange emulation on a C, C++, C#, and Java stack over Linux. The risk philosophy is conservative, summed up by the idea that the firm has to be able to come back to work tomorrow.
