Spatium Capital started small and deliberately so. Founders Nick Quinn and Jesse Moors launched their quantitative equity strategy in 2018 on a single hundred-thousand-dollar self-managed super fund seed, then grew it through performance and word of mouth rather than institutional backing or a prior track record.

Registered near Melbourne in early 2019, the firm runs a long-only quant strategy over ASX small-cap names ranked outside the top hundred, using five proprietary filters and a relative-valuation model to catch short-term dislocations, turning the book over roughly each quarter. It also co-manages an agricultural production fund giving equity-style exposure to Australian farming alongside growers, and has tied up with Singapore's Conduit Group to push into the wider Asia-Pacific.
