Seven Eight Capital
Seven Eight Capital described its own work plainly: math, engineering, and computer science applied to the markets. In practice that meant systematic, high-turnover quantitative equity strategies, run by a team recruited from MIT, Goldman Sachs, Citadel, and Chicago Trading Company.
Adrian Sisser and Stephen Cash founded the firm in New York in 2012 and built it as a sub-adviser on Schonfeld Strategic Advisors' multi-manager platform, where it traded for more than a decade. In late 2023 it spun out of that platform to run independently. The toolset was Python-centric, the posture quant-first, and the alumni trail, into Walleye, Millennium, Citadel, and Engineers Gate, reads like a map of the systematic-equity world it came from.
