Radix Trading

Radix Trading describes itself less as a trading firm than as a research firm that happens to monetize through trading, and the framing is not just branding. Founded in Chicago in 2012 by Benjamin Blander, former head of high-frequency trading at Citadel, and Michael Rauchman, former chief technology officer at GETCO, it carries pedigree from two of the city's defining HFT houses.

Radix argues the era of winning on raw execution speed has largely run its course, and leans instead on machine learning and statistical research as its edge. An automated research platform compresses the path from idea to live deployment. It trades major electronic markets across North America, Europe, and Asia, takes no outside capital, and runs everything on its own balance sheet from offices in Chicago, New York, and Amsterdam.
