Midpoint Markets

Midpoint started as a UC Berkeley student team and grew into a crypto market maker that provides liquidity to most of the world's largest exchanges. Since then it has pulled in senior people from established traditional-finance quant and market-making firms to harden that early student core.

Founded in 2018 and based in Palo Alto, it trades systematically on its own account across a broad product range. It is also deliberately old-fashioned about how it works: rather than going remote, the firm keeps its quant team co-located in person in the Bay Area.
