Graviton Research Capital is proof that a serious HFT firm can be built from India rather than imported into it. Founded in 2014 by IIT Delhi graduates, it trades its own capital on the NSE and beyond, competing on sub-microsecond co-location and an in-house low-latency stack it treats as the whole game.

Inside, Graviton runs several semi-autonomous trading teams that keep their own strategies but share one infrastructure spine: market data, connectivity, execution, compliance. The work is classic statistical arbitrage, time series models, pattern recognition, and inference over terabytes of market data. From its Gurugram base it has pushed into Singapore and a GIFT City office in Gandhinagar that plugs it into India's offshore financial center, recruiting quants and engineers from technical universities worldwide.
