Farrer Capital Management spun out of Merricks Capital in 2023, built around discretionary, fundamental relative-value trading in global agriculture and energy commodities. Adam Davis, previously head of commodities at Merricks, founded it and runs the book as chief investment officer.

The strategy hunts dislocations across physical and listed commodity markets, including OTC derivatives, driven by geopolitical shifts, climate-driven supply shocks, and structural change in energy demand. Operating from Melbourne with reach into the United States and Singapore, Farrer launched with substantial institutional seed backing from Millennium Management.
