Engineers Gate

Engineers Gate takes its name from one of the entrances to Central Park, a fitting label for a firm that hires for mathematical and engineering horsepower. Glenn Dubin conceived it in 2014 as a technology-driven successor to Highbridge Capital Management, the fund he co-founded and sold to JPMorgan, with Paul Tudor Jones backing it early as an equity investor.

It runs as a multi-manager quantitative platform, assembling portfolio teams from researchers with hard-science backgrounds. CPP Investments came in as its largest investor in 2015, anchoring the firm with long-horizon institutional capital from its earliest years.
