Eclipse Trading

Eclipse Trading runs on two teams and no outside money: traders and developers, sitting close, splitting the work of an options market-making business that quotes both sides on its own capital. Founded in Hong Kong in 2007, it holds designated market-maker and liquidity-provider status at HKEX for index futures, options and single-stock options.

The product range runs wider than vanilla options, into delta-one, ETFs, commodity derivatives and some crypto, all priced on an electronic platform the firm builds and maintains in-house rather than buying. Its four offices, Hong Kong plus Sydney, Shanghai and Chicago, line up with the venues it trades: Asian exchanges through the day, US markets through the night.
