Dolat Capital descends from a Mumbai floor trader, Shri Dolatbhai Shah, who hand-quoted two-sided markets in non-listed equity derivatives back in 1971. That lineage arguably makes it one of India's oldest continuously running market-making operations, a pedigree now re-expressed entirely in code.

Today the firm staffs physicists, mathematicians, computer scientists, and engineers to run high-frequency algorithmic strategies across Indian equities, futures, options, currencies, and commodities, on C++ infrastructure co-located at the exchanges. Alongside the prop book it has built an asset and wealth management arm offering systematic equity strategies to outside investors. The throughline from a 1971 trading pit to a co-located low-latency stack is the firm's real signature: continuity of market-making instinct, modern machinery.
