Diameter Capital Partners

Diameter Capital Partners was built on a deliberate pairing: fundamental credit research on one side, technical trading expertise on the other, applied across the whole credit spectrum from investment-grade bonds and leveraged loans down to stressed, distressed, and special-situation paper, in both public and private markets. Scott Goodwin and Jonathan Lewinsohn founded it in New York in February 2017.

The platform has widened well beyond its original long/short hedge fund into a series of closed-end Dislocation Funds, CLOs, direct lending, and an open-end dynamic credit vehicle. Its third Dislocation Fund closed in late 2025 above its own hard cap, a sign of how quickly the franchise has scaled across a single decade. A London subsidiary and a West Palm Beach office opened in 2022 as the business spread.
