Deutsche Bank (quant/systematic desks)
The Frankfurt quant desks trade off one of the early electronic franchises in the business. Autobahn, Deutsche Bank's multi-asset trading portal, launched in the early 2000s as one of the first fully electronic institutional portals and still funnels the FX and rates flow the quant teams turn into alpha.
These desks sit inside the Fixed Income and Currencies division and rank among the bank's larger groups by headcount, a reflection of its German domicile. The work spans interest-rate structuring, FX quantitative strategies built on machine-learning and econometric models, and the electronic trading stack itself, where execution algorithms such as Stark, SuperX, Iceberg, and Stealth handle adaptive routing and real-time liquidity analysis. It is a bank desk, but one closer to a systematic shop than a traditional dealer.
