Bondi Tech
Bondi Tech is a Chinese market maker with an Optiver pedigree and a name that fools people: the characters 邦戴 transliterate to something like Bond Dai, nothing to do with Sydney's beach. Founded in 2011 and based in Shanghai's Jing'an district, it was built by veterans of international high-frequency and market-making shops, three of them Optiver alumni who carried that playbook into China's domestic exchanges.
It runs lean and automated, holding registered options market-maker status on both the Dalian and Zhengzhou commodity exchanges, where it quotes soybean meal, corn, and palm oil contracts and was among the first palm oil option makers on Dalian. Both exchanges named it a top market maker in 2020. A C++ stack and in-house low-latency platforms do the work a far larger floor once would.
