BlackEdge Capital
BlackEdge Capital is an options market maker that refuses to stay in the options lane. Its partners left an established Chicago market-making house in 2009 to build a firm around their own convictions about how quoting should work, then organized it into distinct desks for energy, equity index, and Eurodollar products, broad terrain for a shop that brands itself around options.
The firm runs from Fulton Market, the former meatpacking district that became Chicago's tech corridor, and treats the line between trading and engineering as porous: quants steeped in options theory, engineers drawn from networking, operating systems, and compiler work. It has also put capital into interest-rate infrastructure, backing Eris Innovations and its SOFR-based futures. Two-sided liquidity, on and off the floor, across every underlying it touches.
