Automaton put systematic managed futures on the map in the Baltics a decade before the region became a fintech name. Its first Lithuanian-regulated fund, launched in 2013, was the first managed-futures vehicle in the Baltic region, establishing Vilnius as a serious if lonely address for the strategy.

Co-founded in 2014 by Dr. Aistis Raudys, a Vilnius-born AI researcher who previously ran the internal CTA programme at Societe Generale Asset Management in London, the firm trades hundreds of proprietary algorithms across dozens of futures contracts. Trend-following, mean-reversion, seasonal and machine-learning strategies run fully automated from portfolio construction through execution, with no human in the loop.
