Before he built a systematic crypto fund, Bradford McArthur filmed expeditions for National Geographic as a professional climber and whitewater kayaker, working from the Arctic to Antarctica. That makes him one of the more unconventional founders in the field.

Aquion, founded in 2025 in Vancouver, runs his G3 system: a set of uncorrelated algorithms across the most liquid coins, layered with volatility constraints, a machine-learning money-management overlay, and an on-chain early-warning protocol he calls the Black Swan Killer. A Chartered Market Technician, McArthur traded discretionarily before turning systematic, and helped organise a large Vancouver traders' community along the way.
